Fibreclay is produced via an innovative and patented process that combines fibre recovered from the waste material of pulp mills with clay. The result is an extremely solid material with rigidity similar to that of plywood.*** Fibreclay is particularly suitable for use in planters as it is extremely durable, frost & UV resistant and almost impervious to the effects of weathering. Whilst fibreclay planters are closer in weight than their fiberglass equivalents to lead planters, they are still lightweight enough to make them easily portable.*** Another major benefit of fibreclay planters is that they are extremely environmentally friendly. In addition to being produced from waste materials, the energy usage in manufacture is only 10% of that for planters in other ceramics and plastics.***

The Trough was delivered on a pallet and installed easily. We were delighted with its appearance and its light weight which enabled us to put it in position without a great effort. We then filled it half way up with bricks to prevent anyone trying to steal it. We completed the installation by filling it with home made compost and transferred a dozen tulips, already in flower, to make a beautiful display in front of our house.

Good planters and not damaged on arrival. Took a little longer to deliver than wanted and lorry couldn't get up my road as was too large. If you phone company directly they will charge you a flat delivery fee for multiple purchases as not on amazon.
