Almost perfect

When this first arrived, we were really chuffed and as someone else pointed out, it is almost goodlooking as far as coal bunkers go. However, after it was filled (to about 80percent capacity), we filled the coal scuttle from the bottom and then, due to the weight of the remaining coal, could not close the flap back up (and we are fit and strong) - I imagine this would be cured by the bottom flap having sides, almost like a shoot type opening. It is difficult filling a coal scuttle from the top.

A bit flimsy.

We were surprised that the reindeer needed quite so much "re-inforcement" in order to hold it together. However, it has survived through this very mild Xmas period, so that's good. It remains to be seen whether it will survive more robust winter conditions!
